## Methodology

Each acquisition's own acquirers', targets' and sellers' own releases and SEC exhibits were read through estate-fetch and stored whole (sha256 on every row). For every announcement or filing, five questions were answered from its own words: who bought, what the target does with data, where the deal stood when read, whether a party stated the price, the deal in the announcement's own words. Every stated answer carries the sentence it rests on, checked against the stored text; 'not stated' means the announcement or filing read does not address the question. A acquisition with several announcements and filings reads 'varies' where they disagree. 19 acquisitions, 19 announcements and filings.
